Which Family Members Are Eligible for a Malta Golden Visa?

Under the Malta Individual Investor Program (MIIP), also known as the Malta Golden Visa, eligible family members can be included in the application alongside the main applicant. The program allows for the inclusion of certain family members, expanding the benefits of the visa to them as well. The eligible family members include:

Spouse or Partner: The spouse or partner of the main applicant can be included in the application. This includes legally married spouses or partners in a proven stable relationship.

Children: Minor children (under 18 years old) of the main applicant or their spouse/partner can be included in the application. This includes biological children, stepchildren, or legally adopted children.

Dependent Adult Children: Dependent adult children between the ages of 18 and 26, who are financially dependent on the main applicant or their spouse/partner, can be included in the application. They must not be married or have children of their own.

Dependent Parents or Grandparents: Dependent parents or grandparents of the main applicant or their spouse/partner can be included in the application if they are over 55 years of age and financially dependent on the main applicant.

It’s important to note that the eligibility of family members may be subject to certain conditions and requirements specified by the Malta Individual Investor Program. Each family member included in the application will undergo the necessary due diligence checks as part of the overall application process.

It is recommended to consult with licensed agents or specialized advisors who are familiar with the MIIP to obtain accurate and up-to-date information on the eligibility of family members and the specific requirements for their inclusion in the application.
